Episode #75 - June 19, 2021
Hanako & Austin Scott Vs. Jason Evans & Kaito Hirano

- In the ring, Scott and Hirano exchanged blows before Evans leveled Scott from behind. Dishonor took turns tagging in and out as they worked over Scott.
- Hirano hit a blue thunder bomb on Scott and covered for two. Hirano made a tag to Evans and then connected with Yoi Yume O [Sweet Dreams] (Running Knee to knelt opponent). Evans came off the top rope with the Red Line (450 Splash)! Evans covered and the fans roared when Hanako dove across the ring and broke it up.
- Hanako moved around the ring with speed as she hit Hirano with a dropkick. Evans charged but Hanako slipped behind him and hit a float over ddt.

Injunction
In the backstage area we saw the Tag Team Champions, Angel Kash and Summer Page signing a piece of paper and handing it to a man in a suit. The man thanked them both and walked away. Kevin Olson then informed everyone that the Social Elite have filed paperwork with upper management of Empire Wrestling claiming unfair working conditions by the liaison, Sara Logan. The Social Elite claim to be injured and should not have to defend the titles here on Hype and that they need a couple more weeks to get ready for “brutes like the 323”. Upper Management have given the Social Elite time to prepare but would still be forced to defend the titles tonight, however, they’ll get to choose their opponents.
Josh Goldstein Vs. James Edwards
- The bout between Goldstein and Edwards was an instant classic as the two styles faced off nicely. Goldstein tried to keep the pace quick with strikes and drags and Edwards would pull him in and hit a stiff strike.
- A big chop to the chest of Goldstein echoed throughout the Warehouse as Goldstein rubbed his chest. He came back with a stiff chop of his own before hitting the ropes and coming back with a running uppercut.
- Edwards sent Goldstein into the ropes and was looking for a back drop but Goldstein hit a code red! Goldstein covered and got a big two count.
- Goldstein smiled big and pointed out to the fans and struck a pose. Edwards got to his feet and dropped a charging Goldstein with a spinebuster into a bridging pin for two.
- Both men got up and Edwards took him down with a bulldog driver. Edwards went right into a guillotine choke. Goldstein crawled slowly to the ropes and was able to force a break.
- Edwards and Goldstein battled briefly and Edwards delivered Triple Play (Two Spinning Back Fist followed by a Spinning Back Elbow). Goldstein staggered and Edwards looked for Kill Up (Shining Wizard to a standing opponent) but Goldstein ducked it.
- Goldstein jumped up and hit a Hannukanrana (Reverse Hurricanrana) and both men were down as the fans cheered.
- Goldstein started to clap, getting the fans going, as he started to regain energy. Edwards hit a hard right hand and Goldstein just ate it. Goldstein ate another right hand and then blocked a third. He delivered the Jewish Mallet (Your standard 80's 'hulking out' leading into a devastating polish hammer) as the fans popped.
- Goldstein hit the ropes as Edwards stood and delivered Brooklyn Quebrada (Springboard Moonsault inverted DDT) and covered for a two count.
- Edwards got to his feet and ducked a clothesline and delivered a dragon suplex. He pulled Goldstein up and delivered a gutwrench brainbuster. Edwards looked for his Foxfire (Heel Hook) and Goldstein struggled to the ropes. Goldstein rolled him right up into a small package as he pulled him away and Goldstein was locked in and Edwards snuck out a three count.
WINNER: James Edwards via pinfall @ 17:04
To the Top
This made Lacy smile and nod to herself before playfulling kicking her feet.
Lacy Nelson: Who’s next for Casey? Maybe Nessa. Maybe me. Manic? Someone like Tia Santos? I know one thing though. July 3rd the fireworks won’t be the only thing everyone is looking up at. That night, at Next Level: Victorem, everyone will be looking up at ME, pulling down the Victorem contract for the 2nd time in my career. I’ll then go on to use that contact to become the 1st ever 3 time EW World Champion. I don’t care who stands in my way. My foot will knock them down. Casey Grey might be the EW World Champion right now but -I- write the headlines. Here’s the latest: “Lacy Nelson first to enter the Victorem Ladder Match”.
NATIONAL DIVISION MATCH
Kamila Rose Vs. Meg Coleman
- Coleman and Rose locked up to start the match and Coleman tried to wrestle her to the mat. Rose exploded with dropkicks and a sling blade.
- Rose used her speed to try and keep Coleman off balance.
- Coleman was able to slow Rose down after spiking her to the mat with a big DDT.
- Coleman took advantage of the match as she started to wear down Rose with rest holds and then slamming her to the mat.
- Coleman went for a German suplex but Rose caught her with a back elbow to break things up. Rose hit the ropes and came back with a tilt-a-whirl DDT.
- Rose sent a stumbling Coleman into the corner and lifted her to the top rope. She climbed up after her and wanted to connect with the Rose Clipper (Spanish Fly) but Coleman pushed her off to the mat. Coleman came off the top and connected with a flying elbow. She covered but only for two.
- Coleman tried to get Rose into an ankle lock but Rose rolled forward and Coleman went falling through the top and middle rope. Rose readied herself and went flying over the top with a tope con hilo!
- Coleman and Rose fought around the ring and then near the announce table. Rose lifted Coleman up and then down, face first, onto the table before Coleman rolled onto it.
- Rose locked in the Black Rose (Banks Statement) and Coleman screamed. Coleman got her knee under her and was able to power and lift Rose up and then back dropped her through the table!
- Neither Coleman or Rose could make it back to the ring before the count and the bell rang.
NO CONTEST @ 14:32 via double countout
Impatient
We got a quick segment backstage with Kaito Hirano and Jason Evans. Kaito spoke in Japanese as Evans translated.
Jason Evans: AJ JENKYNX! We offered you a spot to join Dishonor and you have been silent since. Empire Wrestling doesn’t care about you. These fans do not care about you. Stop sitting by and watching all the opportunities go to the undeserving. Take what you deserve and join us. Join Dishonor and we’ll make sure you’ll get what is owed to you.
Evans and Kaito look into the camera as we cut away.
EXTREME DIVISION MATCH
Manic Vs. Outlaw
- This match never got started as Manic attacked Outlaw backstage as he was talking to someone in gorilla before the match. Manic pounced on Outlaw and unleashed a series of strikes before delivering Splitting Headache (Bicycle Knee Strike). Trainers pulled them apart as Manic laughed before disappearing through the crowd of people.
Medical Advice
The scene opens on Casey Grey and Kevin Olson standing in the back of the warehouse.
Kevin Olson: Casey, thanks for giving me a moment of your time. I just have a couple of questions for you. The first is about the Victorem event coming up. Are you nervous at all about the ladder match and the implications that someone will gain a guaranteed title shot for your belt?
Casey Grey: Look, Kevin. First of all, the answer to your question is no. Not only no, but hell no. I’m not nervous, and I’m not scared. As far as I’m concerned, anyone in the back that wants it has a guaranteed shot anyway.
Kevin Olson: What about Nessa Wall?
Casey Grey: I knew this would come up. It’s no secret that Sara Logan and the people running the show in the back have had it out for me since day one. And yet, despite everything they’ve done to hold me down, here I am. The Empire World Champion. Nessa Wall doesn’t concern me. I see through this whole thing. Yeah, she was the champion over at BWF, and good on her for that, I guess, but there’s no way she wasn’t brought here as some kind of hitman to come after me. That doesn’t concern me. What concerns me is that for some reason she thinks she can roll up in here and make her appearance on my time. Nothing about Breakout was subtle, Kevin.
Kevin Olson: Wow. Just…wow. If you want my opinion, Casey, you sound like a crazy person. Have you thought about seeking professional help?
Casey Grey: No, Kevin. But I'll tell you what. I’m going to give you a bit of medical advice. If you keep up this level of disrespect, you’re going to be the one that needs professional help. Like a chiropractor and an orthopedist.
Casey holds up the championship belt.
Casey Grey: This is mine. Anyone that wants to try to take it is welcome to. I don’t care if it’s Lacy Nelson or Nessa Wall, or whoever wins this ladder match, but they would be smart to take the same advice I just gave you.
Casey walks out of the frame. Kevin turns to the camera with a shrug as the scene fades to black.
EXTREME DIVISION MATCH
Kasey Kash Vs. Gio DeLuca
- This match was a quick one as Kasey Kash came fired up and ready to beat Gio’s ass. Gio jumped on Kash to kick things off and was able to hit a few solid shots in before Kash hit a spinning backfist. Kash then hit a blue thunder bomb and Gio rolled out of the ring.
- DeLuca grabbed a chair and tossed it in before grabbing a second and rolling into the ring. Kash charged but DeLuca caught him in the gut with the chair. DeLuca cracked it over his back as Kash moved away.
- Kash was in the corner and DeLuca charged and ran into a boot to the face. Kash jumped up and hit a DDT on DeLuca!
- Kash hit DeLuca with a ripcord knee strike as he stood and used it to set up his Aussie Knee Party (Shining Wizard)!
- Kash wanted to sent a message to DeLuca and grabbed a chair and cracked it over his back before rolling him over and pinning for three.
WINNER: Kash Kash via pinfall @ 7:22
Watch Me
The view comes to life in front of a mirror, where a petite blonde is shown from behind. She's toned and fit, dressed in a form-fitting pink and black jacket and matching yoga leggings. Slowly, she lifts one leg, grasping her own ankle, stretching as she shows off a nice view of her glutes. When that's done, she turns to look at the camera, a saucy smirk on her lips, her identity unmistakable: it's the BWF Champion, none other than Nessa Wall.
Nessa Wall: Watching me, hmm?
She lets out a little laugh, shaking her head in feigned outrage.
Nessa Wall: I suppose I can't blame you, really. Every little eye's been trained in my direction since I had the audacity to crash the party. All these febrile little minds clamouring and digging through my social media, looking for a clue. All these whispers and suppositions. What does this mean? Why am I here?
The smile has grown now, bordering on a cheeky grin before she unzips the jacket she has on, letting just a glimpse of her most treasured possession show.
Nessa Wall: Did you truly think I was going to be satisfied with conquering that elusive mountain? Did you think my hunger was going to be satiated with just a little morsel? Oh, no. Heavens no. Like Oliver Twist… I want more. Like Veruca Salt… I don't care how, I want it now.
Another caustic chuckle slips past those candy-pink painted lips.
Nessa Wall: I'm not about to let my spotlight fade. The UWA came together for a reason – I see that all too clearly now. It was the sign I was waiting for. The writing on the wall that clearly spelled out that this…
She flicks her nail against the hardware around her waist, the ping off the metal serving as evidence to punctuate the point.
Nessa Wall: …was not the culmination of everything I'd worked for, the last plateau before an anticlimactic ride off back into the obscurity of retirement. NO. This was my moment of rebirth. Like a phoenix, I've been ignited. I've had my fears and doubts immolated. You want to know my plans?
Chuckling, she shakes her head before turning back to admiring her own reflection.
Nessa Wall: I guess you'll just have to keep watching.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Social Elite (c) Vs. The Crew
- Page and Kash came to the ring first and showed each had an absurd amount of tape around their wrists and arms. Josh and Jack Williams came to the ring next and moved around the ring as the match was set to start.
- Jack Williams locked up with Kash and she pushed him back and he bumped hard and clearly was overselling. He stood and then flopped back down as Kash posed. The fans booed as they realized they had been scammed. Kash hit a punch on Jack and he dropped hard to the mat and let Kash cover.
- Jack jumped into the ring and moved in slow motion to try and break up the count but didn’t make it before Page, moving in regular speed, was there to push him into the ropes and Kash got the three count.
WINNERS AND STILL EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Social Elite via pinfall @ 2:35
Kash and Page celebrated after the match and Perez and Torres of the 323 rushed to the ring to cheers. Page and Kash grabbed their titles and quickly left the ring as the Crew looked on. Torres hit Jack with the CHIMUELO (Superman Punch)! Perez got Josh into position and they hit him with the Gun Shot (Wheelbarrow by Perez into a running kick to the head by Torres, followed by a sit-down facebuster). 323 pointed up at the Social Elite as we cut away to end the show.
