Daniel Daemon in casual attire has become a more common sight as of late, the bespoke suits only making an occasional appearance.
Daniel Daemon: I thought… that perhaps I could rest. That is what I have been doing. My win-loss record as of late definitely reflects that. I dedicated myself so thoroughly to my goal of being the antagonist of Empire that once that was gone...I found myself briefly… lost. It does not help that my former Kingsmen seem so set on my downfall. I am letting myself down. I am letting the viewers down. I am letting my part-
Daniel is interrupted by the sudden presence of his best friend The Maccabee Marvel himself, Josh Goldstein, also in casual attire.
Josh Goldstein: Hey bro, no need to worry about a lull. You were the Empire World Champion for a YEAR. Now you’re engaged and I just came back off of an injury I thought was gonna end my career for good. There were kinks to work out. We can acknowledge that. Anyone can look at our record and know we aren’t schmucks.
Daniel Daemon: I suppose, but to rely on that record is complacency. I am not complacent. I am not satisfied with where we are currently. We have to correct this.
Josh Goldstein: Then let’s make a pact right now. In front of the world. No more-half-assing this. We either go whole-ass or nothing. Heck, let’s go EVEN FURTHER BEYOND. We’ll have to grow even more tuches to account for how much ass we will have to give.
Daniel Daemon: ...Think about your words for just a moment.
Josh Goldstein: THERE’S NO TIME FOR THINKING WE HAVE SO MUCH ASS TO GIVE okay yeah I hear it now, my bad.
Daniel Daemon: I accept your pact, however. You had a great win. Fresh start. Let’s keep this going.
Josh Goldstein: So please allow us to re-re-introduce ourselves.
Daniel Daemon: Whether it be in singles or tag competition you are dealing with New York’s Finest.
Josh Goldstein: I’m so PUMPED now. Hang on, I need to get a running start to high-five you, you big tall monster.
Josh walks offscreen and Daniel raises his hand. Josh runs onscreen and leaps but misses Daniel’s hand completely and puts himself through the catering table.
Daniel Daemon: ...Joshua, people were going to eat that.
Josh Goldstein: My...bad...
Daniel is about to go over and help him when he notices people giving him the eye.
Daniel Daemon: ....I promise it wasn’t me this time. Didn’t chokeslam anyone.
Josh raises a thumbs up from the wreckage of the table and that seems to satisfy the staff who walk away. The camera fades out on Daniel helping Josh up.
