NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Kamila Rose (c) Vs. Kasey Kash
The Start: The show was ready to kick off with a huge championship bout as Kasey Kash hit the stage. We got clips of Kash getting involved in last week’s title match between Slayton and Rose. Kash hit the ring and moved around as he paced. Kamila Rose came out in her Ember persona. The man in the black bull mask that we saw at Next Level: Revolution walked slowly behind her and stood at the bottom of the ramp for the match. Ember handed off the title to the referee as the bell rang and the two quickly came to blows. Kash and Ember both moved quickly around the ring with arm drags and strikes. Ember looked for a lariat but Kash hit a big blue thunder bomb and was able to get a one count on a pinfall. He looked for a spinning backfist but Ember was able to duck and counter into a neckbreaker. Kash climbed to his feet and fell into a corner and Ember hit a big corner splash as she took control of the match.
The Match: Ember was able to connect with an inverted atomic drop and then went right into a hurricanrana. Ember went right into an attempted armbar on a downed Kash but he was able to quickly get to the ropes to use his first rope break. Kash rolled out of the ring, opposite of the ramp, and brushed himself off. He used an 8 count before climbing back into the ring. Ember went to charge at him on the apron and he caught her with a forearm to the face. He used the opening to connect with his Canberra Collapse (Springboard Cutter)! Kash rolled Ember into a cover and she kicked out right at two. Kash landed a few punches to a downed Ember and went to the second rope. He looked for a moonsault as Ember rolled out of the way but he was able to land on his feet. Kash grabbed Ember and hit a German suplex. Ember stumbled up to her feet and Kash stepped up with a flatliner. He pulled her up to her feet and sent her into the corner and started to lift her up. He followed and had something in mind but Ember started to fight back with strikes. Ember hit a few elbows to the head and then hit a big exploder suplex off the top rope! Ember was able to crawl to Kash and covered for a big two count before he was able to kick out. The fans were cheering as Ember was shocked.
The End: Ember stalked Kash as he started to stand and she was able to connect with a backbreaker lungblower and rolled him into the Black Rose (Banks Statement) and pulled back on Kash. Kash refused to submit as he tried to get to the ropes. Ember screamed at him but he was eventually able to get some leverage and flipped over, pinning Ember’s shoulders to the mat for a two count. Both competitors were up and Ember looked for an armdrag but Kash countered and hit her with a ripcord bicycle knee strike! Kash was fired up and wanted to hit his finisher next as he stalked around Ember. Before he could, the fans roared as David Slayton was running down the ramp and past Ember’s muscle and into the ring. As soon as he got to his feet and planted them and rocked Kash with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)! Slayton was fired up as he shook the ropes and the referee called for the bell.
WINNER: Kasey Kash via disqualification @ 14:31; AND STILL NATIONAL CHAMPION, Kamila “Ember” Rose
The Aftermath: Slayton turned as Ember’s muscle got into the ring and he jumped out. Ember was handed the title and she wasn’t pleased with the ending once again. Kash started to come to and looked up at Slayton moving up the ramp and shouted at him.
Bluegrass and a Burning Heart
The camera gave us a shot backstage as he slowly panned around. It finally caught the newest member of the Empire Wrestling roster; James Edwards. The first thing you notice about James Edwards are the eyes: a dull green that cloaks alertness with false apathy. They take in every person that scurries backstage at the warehouse failing to notice "The Burning Heart", and why would anyone notice him? Average height, an unshaven face and slightly curly brown hair do not a dangerous fighter make; exactly the way he likes it.
James Edwards: They won't admit, but a lot of professional wrestlers can't stand it when they are a face in the crowd.
Well one thing about Edwards sticks out, his thick Kentucky twang, that numerous world tours has failed to tame.
James Edwards: Think about it, the first thing you hear from the new person is how they're gonna be so different. They guarantee world titles or call out the biggest name they can find. Now to be fair, some folks are able to back up the bull, and good for them, but that's rare as hell.
A delivery person walks by with a case of sandwiches bound for the catering table.
James Edwards: I don't get it, but to each their own.
He watches the sandwich person disappear into the crowd.
James Edwards: There's some advantages to being just another face in the crowd. People leave you alone for thing; I'm here to compete and win, not make friends. If folks are dumb enough, they mistake silence for weakness, and I take pride in droppin' them on their heads or chokin' them out.
He smiles at the thought.
James Edwards: I don't mean that in a sadistic way, I just find a lot of joy in draggin' so-called stars into combat sports. My style of fights ain't pretty. You'll get a black eye or a busted lip. There will be blood and I promise you will walk with a limp the day after. They won't want to stand out after all that, will they.
He takes a step forward into the sea of humanity.
James Edwards: But a little humility ain't a bad thing to have.
And with that the inconspicuous fighter is gone, content to be forgotten until he chooses to announce himself to the Empire Wrestling crowd and locker room.
Skjaldmaer Vs. Gio DeLuca
The Start: Gio DeLuca came to the ring first and rolled into the ring. He grabbed a microphone and started to speak.
Gio DeLuca: Here we go. I can’t even tell you how to pronounce my opponent’s name but lemme tell you a secret; it doesn’t matter. I’m getting real sick and tired of nobodies coming into Empire Wrestling thinking that they’re worthy of even stepping foot in this ring.
DeLuca gets interrupted by Skjaldmaer’s music as she made her way to the ring. She removed her bulky coat and tossed it to the side as she climbed up the steel steps.
The Match: Skjadmaer was now in the ring and DeLuca was fuming after being cut off. He tried to charge her and she ducked a clothesline and ran to the opposite ropes before coming back and meeting DeLuca with Gungnir (Running Big Boot)! DeLuca shook it off and got to his feet but was quickly dropped to the mat with a back body drop. Skjadmaer stomped on DeLuca as he started to stand and he tried to fight back with punches to her gut. She pushed him away and he looked for a crossbody but she caught him! She connected with a fallaway slam as the crowd cheered.
The End: This match was over quickly as DeLuca got back to his feet and jumped up, looking for a spike DDT but she pushed him away back to his feet. DeLuca looked for a clothesline and she ended things with Jörmungandr's Teeth ( A Dragon Suplex, followed up by a low kick to the head/jaw, into a Michinoku Driver) and covered, picking up the pinfall.
WINNER: Skjadmaer via pinfall @ 4:19
The Aftermath: After a quick celebration, Skjadmaer posed for the fans as DeLuca punched the mat. She left the ring and pointed to the fans before heading to the back.
Daniel Daemon Vs. Austin Scott Vs. Jack Williams Vs. Junji Buranku
The Start: There was a lot on the line in this match as the winner would earn a shot at the Tag Team Championship for him and his tag team partner. Junji and Daemon didn’t waste any time coming to blows and Daemon clotheslined him over the top rope and went after him. Austin Scott rocked Williams with a big clothesline and started to unload with kicks and punches.
The Match: Taking advantage of the rules, Jason Evans of Dishonor rushed to the ring and clocked Williams over the head with a chair shot! Daemon heard it and turned to the ring as he tossed Junji over the announce table and had him tangled up in chairs. Daemon climbed into the ring and hit a big boot to the chair and then dropped him with a chokeslam. Williams was up and turned into Daemon dropping him with a chokeslam. Daemon was tossed over the top rope by Scott.
The End: Evans was up and hit a tope con hilo to Junji and Daemon as Mr Fixit started to make his way to the ring. Josh Goldstein was close behind and those two started to fight on the ramp. Williams was up and was lifted onto Scott’s shoulder before getting dropped with Ace in the Hole (Rikishi Driver)! Scott covered and picked up the pinfall before anyone could break it up.
WINNERAND NEW #1 TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDER: Austin Scott via pinfall @ 8:33
The Aftermath: Junji and Mr Fixit went to attack Scott but he rolled out of the ring. The Kingslayers grabbed Williams and delivered a message to Dishonor as they hit him with a flapjack (Fixit) and cutter (Junji) combo. Daemon and Goldstein talked on the outside of the ring as they jumped up to the apron and Junji and Fixit rolled out of the ring. Dishonor stood at the top of the ramp and celebrated.
Third Times the Charm
In the backstage area we get to see Harper Blake not too far from the stage. She paced around as she looked down to the floor. The cameraman let it be known that he was there as Blake finally stopped moving and looked at the camera.
Harper Blake: Cross, I actually envy you. You are in a position that I have only dreamed of and I want it. I want to be able to call myself champion and that Primetime Championship has so much history behind it. You have been one of the best competitors inside that ring since you won it but tonight, on my third try, I beat you. One. Two. Three.
Blake’s music could be heard playing as she made her way off camera.
Harper Blake Vs. Marilyn Lee Cross
The Start: Harper Blake ran the ropes once she made her way down and started to stretch her legs on the ropes in the corner. MLC came out next as she showed off the Primetime Championship to the fans. The title was held high after she removed it from her waist before making her way down. Cross put the title on the apron before rolling into the ring and jumping to her feet. The two women moved around the ring as the bell sounded. They waited for the other to make the first move and both ended up reaching to a tie up. MLC was more comfortable being tied up as she was able to get Blake in a hammerlock and landed a hard strike to the back. Blake spun around but Cross hit her with a palm strike and followed it with a chop to the chest. Cross hit the ropes and looked for a shoulder tackle but Blake was able to stand her ground. MLC hit the ropes again and this time ran into a dropkick. Blake and Cross were evenly matched in the early going of the bout. Blake was fired up and Cross kept trying to slow her down by bringing her to the mat.
The Match: Cross tried to work the knee and leg of Blake to take out Blake’s biggest moves. With Blake on the mat, Cross dropped a knee onto Harper’s knee and then locked in a leglock. Blake sat up and punched Cross trying to break the hold. Blake was able to roll to the ropes for a break. They both got to their feet and Cross charged but was lifted up and over the top rope, landing on her feet on the floor. Cross jumped to the apron and started to climb inside and Blake hit the Future Sight (V-Trigger)! Blake grabbed at her knee and pulled Cross away from the ropes and covered but only got a two count. Blake rubbed her knee and pulled MLC up to her feet. She looked for a double chikenwing facebuster but Cross was able to spin herself and drive Blake into the mat with a DDT. They both were up quickly and Cross hit a basement dropkick to the knee! Blake tried to stand and Cross lifted her up before hitting Do A Barrel Roll (Cartwheel Death Valley Driver)! Cross hooked a leg and covered before picking up a two count. Cross slapped her leg as the fans clapped along. Blake was up and Cross looked for the Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot) and Blake rolled forward and dodged it. Cross turned right into Blake’s CMS (Quasedora Flipping Facebuster). Blake crawled quickly over to Cross and covered before the champ got her foot on the ropes at two.
The End: Blake pulled Cross up and quickly dropped her on the mat with a scoop slam near the corner. Blake started to climb but her knee was clearly bothering her as she tried. She stood tall on the top ropes and looked for the DDS (Double Foot Stomp) but Cross rolled out of the way. Blake rolled forward and stood, quickly grabbing her knee. Cross ran off the ropes and hit Blake with Catch Your Breath (Striking Spear)! Cross watched as Blake started to slowly get up and she hit the ropes again, this time looking for John Wilkes Boot (Running Yakuza Kick to the back of the head) but Blake had it scouted and ducked. Cross turned and was hit with another Future Sight! Blake pulled Cross into position and delivered a falcon arrow! She covered and everyone roared as Cross got her foot on the ropes just before three. Blake thought the match was over as she got up and celebrated but the referee kept telling her it wasn’t over. Blake and the referee started to argue as Cross got up to her feet and grabbed Blake from behind, locking in Hungry Jaws (Dragon Sleeper w/ body scissors)! Blake wouldn’t tap out and started to fade as the referee called for the bell!

The Aftermath: Nelson stood and was handed her title as she looked down at Frost. Monroe started to stir on the outside and rolled in as Nelson rolled out.
