Next Level: Victorem July 30, 2021
Scott Parker: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Next Level: Victorem! It’s the biggest show of the summer and tonight could change the landscape of Empire Wrestling. The Victorem Ladder Match puts a World Championship contract in the hand of the winner and will put the champion on notice!
Gemma Foster: Will it be the break that someone like Hanako, Harper Blake, and Jason Evans have been waiting for in Empire Wrestling? A big return for Danny Rose? Or will two former World Champions in Daniel Daemon and Lacy Nelson earn themselves another opportunity?
Scott Parker: So many great matches tonight as well, Gemma. Gabrielle Montgomery with an opportunity tonight to do what no one in over 600 days. Or will everyone continue to SAY HER NAME? Marilyn Lee Cross has taken on all opponents and has been one of the most dominant champions in Empire Wrestling’s history.
Gemma Foster: Every title is on the line tonight, Scott, and our main event has so many threads. Tia Santos has been one of the best competitors in Empire Wrestling history after dominating as Extreme Champion and is now World Champion. No one has been able to pin her clean but Casey Grey sure did come close in their meeting back at Next Level: Revolution. AJ Adams has a longstanding rivalry with Casey Grey since the early days of Empire Wrestling and has come back with one thing in mind, be the champion.
Scott Parker: All that and more!
SPARTAN CHAMPIONSHIP
“Reverend” Martin West Vs. Melody Slayton (c)
It was time for the opening match of the evening as the fans popped for the pyro. The first few notes of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash played as the fans started to boo the appearance of Martin West. He made his way to the ring and removed his clergy jacket as the boos turned to cheers as Melody Slayton came to the stage. The Spartan Champion posed for the fans before making her way down to the ring. The match was announced and we got underway. Slayton reached for a lock up and West pulled her in and applied a headlock. Slayton pushed him into the ropes and he came right back with a shoulder tackle. Slayton popped up to her feet and landed a kick to the gut. Slayton hit the ropes and West bent down and she rolled over his back and landed on her feet. West spun and rocked her with a spinning back elbow to the jaw. West quickly pulled her in for knees to the gut before hitting a big lariat that flipped her around. West went to the second rope and came jumping off with a hard ax handle smash to the head of Slayton.
Gemma Foster: Those hard blows from West have Slayton moving slowly. It’s knocked her for a loop!
West pulled Slayton up and started to toss her around the ring with suplexes. Slayton started to battle back and pushed herself off and hit a dropkick that made West fall backwards into the corner. Slayton hit a corner clothesline and looked for a running bulldog but West countered with a belly to back suplex. Slayton rolled right up to her feet and West turned right into This Magic Moment (V Trigger)! The crowd popped as Slayton was fired up and moved around the ring and got into a corner. West started to stand and Slayton hit the Full Effect 2.0 (Superkick*, followed by a Shining Wizard) combo! Slayton went into a cover and got two before West kicked out. Slayton gasped as she looked around for the three. West got himself to his feet and dodged This Magic Moment and took Slayton down with a sling blade. Both competitors were up and Slayton hit a dropkick and West came back with Absolution (Rebound/Pendulum Lariat)! West pulled Slayton up and connected with Baptism (Cradle Piledriver). West went into a cover and the fans roared when Slayton kicked out at two.
Scott Parker: The rookie showing a lot of heart here tonight! Melody kicks out of the Baptism and this match will continue!
West pulled Slayton up and tried to lift for a suplex but Slayton countered with a DDT. She rolled down and locked in an ankle lock! West fought to the ropes and used his first rope break. Slayton tired to pull West to the center of the ring and he was able to turn and kicked Slayton in the jaw. She stumbled backwards and jumped up to the second rope and readied herself. She wanted the Glitter Bomb (Panama Sunrise) but West reached up and rocked her with the Come-To-Jesus Moment (Haymaker Punch) and it knocked her off the ropes and to the floor below. Slayton was down and didn’t move until the count of seven. She tried to get into the ring and just couldn’t make it back and the bell rang.
WINNER AND NEW EW SPARTAN CHAMPION: “Reverend” Martin West via countout @ 17:31
The fans booed as West was handed the title and he held it above his head. He placed it on his shoulder as Slayton rolled over to the barricade and watched on.
Scott Parker: That’s one of the dangers of the Spartan Championship, Gemma. We have a new champion on that countout and Martin West is champion in Empire Wrestling.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
STREET FIGHT
The 323 (Miguel Perez & Alejandro Torres) Vs. Heroes Never Die (Josh Goldstein & Crimson Ghost) (c)
This match started backstage as Perez and Torres attacked the champions as they walked towards the entrance. Perez and Torres jumped the two men and tossed them against the walls. Torres tossed Goldstein across a table and then flipped it over as the equipment on it landed on top of him. Ghost tried to battle back against Torres and Perez snatched the Tag Team Title and leveled Goldstein with it. Ghost and Torres had started to fight their way down the ramp as the fans popped for their appearance. Ghost was able land kicks on the legs of Torres as he chased him down the ramp. Torres landed a hard right hand but Ghost hit a Code Red on the bottom of the ramp!
Gemma Foster: This is anarchy! Here comes Perez!
Perez rushed out after Ghost and the two started to wildly land blows on each other before Perez tossed him into the barricade. Perez pulled out a kendo stick and started to wack Ghost across the chest and back with it as he tried to crawl away. Perez pulled Ghost up by the throat with the kendo stick and tried to choke him. Ghost was blocking with his hands and flipped Perez over his shoulders as he landed hard on the outside floor. Perez started to get to his feet and Ghost delivered an exploder suplex. Torres was finally back to his feet and delivered a massive big boot to the face of Ghost! Torres rolled Ghost in and tossed in a trash can and then a steel chair. He rolled into the ring and hit Ghost with a hard right hand. Torres sent Ghost into the ropes and looked for the .38 Special (Gunnslinger) but Ghost countered into a DDT! Ghost got up and the number game once again came into play as Perez took Ghost down with Green-Lighted (Jumping Complete Shot).
Scott Parker: Ghost keeps fighting back but the two on one is really making it hard to get any traction.
The 323 kept on the assault of Ghost and put the trash can over his head and Torres swung the chair and connected! Ghost dropped and Perez hit a running senton on the trash can. Torres went for a cover and got two before Ghost kicked out. Perez started to put the edge of the chair into the gut of Ghost and the fans popped when Goldstein emerged from behind the curtain, pushing trainers and medics off him. He had a steel chair in hand and Torres rushed up the ramp and ate a chair shot to the head.
Gemma Foster: Here comes Jew Blazer!
Goldstein climbed to the top rope and took Perez out with a big crossbody! Both men got to their feet and Goldstein connected with The Brooklyn Quebrada (Springboard Moonsault inverted DDT). The fans rained cheers down for Goldstein as he was fired up in the middle of the ring. He checked on Ghost who moved over to a turnbuckle. Ghost pulled himself up and motioned for Goldstein to make his way to the top. Perez was up and Ghost lifted him onto this shoulders and they connected with Falling with Style (A Doomsday Crossbody) (Opponent on Ghost's shoulders, Josh performs the crossbody). Goldstein went into a cover and Torres was able to tackle Ghost into the pile and break the pin. Torres pulled Goldstein up and looked for his Boyle Heights Beat (Big Ending) but Goldstein countered into the Schmuck Lock (La Mistica armbar)! Perez was up and Ghost delivered his Psychlotrode X (Romero Special transitioned into Dragon Sleeper) and both members of the 323 tapped out!
WINNERS AND STILL EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Heroes Never Die (Goldstein & Crimson Ghost) via submission @ 17:03
The Jew Blazer and Crimson Ghost hugged after the match and had their hands raised in victory.
Gemma Foster: What a win for Goldstein and Crimson Ghost!
Panic and Fear
We’re shown a shot backstage of Lacy Nelson being surrounded by medics as she sits on a bench and rocks back and forth. She’s given an oxygen mask as she is clearly having trouble breathing.
Scott Parker: Folks, before the start of out last match the in-house EMTs attended to Lacy Nelson. It’s been deemed she had some sort of panic attack and will not be able to compete here tonight in the Victorem Ladder match. However, I am being told that a sixth entrant will be taking her place in the match.
Gemma Foster: Scary stuff, Scott. It’s no secret that Lacy has been dealing with some issues over the last couple months and this was supposed to be her big return match after some time off.
PRIMETIME CHAMPIONSHIP
Gabrielle Montgomery Vs. Marilyn Lee Cross (c)
Montgomery received a nice reaction as she made her way down the ramp for the biggest match in her short Empire Wrestling career. She waved to the fans and moved around the ring.
Scott Parker: Say. Her. Name.
“Hallelujah” by Panic! At The Disco kicked up and out walked the Primetime Champion, Marilyn Lee Cross. Cross held up the championship before putting it on her shoulder and made it to the ring. The match was announced and we were set to get things going. The two circled each other before Cross went in for a tie up. Montgomery sent her into the ropes but Cross came back with a hard shoulder tackle. Cross quickly looked for a shining wizard but Montgomery ducked it and popped up. Cross looked for a lariat but Montgomery ducked and delivered a neckbreaker. Both competitors were up and Montgomery hit a spinning back kick that made Cross bend over. Montgomery followed it up with a lifting knee that took Cross down. Cross got up to her feet and was clotheslined over the top rope and to the floor. Montgomery went after Cross and took an elbow to the gut. Cross hit a hard uppercut to Montgomery and then bounced her face off the apron. Cross lifted her up onto her shoulders and was looking for Do A Barrel Roll (Cartwheel Death Valley Driver) but Montgomery grabbed the bottom ropes and struggled herself off and rolled into the ring. Cross rolled into the ring and Montgomery caught her with a step up enziguri! Montgomery quickly went to the corner and jumped up and delivered a moonsault! She hooked a leg and got a two count before Cross kicked out.
Gemma Foster: What a beautiful moonsault.
Montgomery pulled Cross up and positioned her in the center of the ring but Cross pushed off and hit Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot)! Montgomery staggered up to her feet and Cross delivered Button Down (Big Bang Theory) and covered! It was a close two count before Montgomery kicked out.
Scott Parker: Gabrielle just kicks out!
Cross pulled Montgomery up and tried to lock in the Hungry Jaws (Dragon Sleeper w/ body scissors) but Montgomery struggled and was able to get free. Cross stepped up into a forearm to the face before Montgomery hit a shotgun dropkick! Cross went flying into a corner and hit hard and staggered forward and Montgomery delivered the Double D-DT (Future Shock DDT)! Montgomery covered and the fans were in shock as Cross was just able to kick out in time!
Gemma Foster: 2.99 on that one, Scott! Gabrielle can’t believe it!
Montgomery quickly tried to think as she pulled Cross up and positioned her for the Double D-DT again but Cross pushed her into the corner and drove her shoulder into her gut. Cross spun Montgomery out of the corner and jumped to the second rope and came off with a meteora! She rolled forward and popped up to her feet. Cross turned and hit Montgomery with the Knee Harvey Oswald (Running Knee to the side of an opponent's head)! She covered and was stunned as Montgomery kicked out at two!
Scott Parker: Montgomery kicked out!
Cross quickly pulled Montgomery up and ran the ropes twice before dropping Montgomery with John Wilkes Boot (Running Yakuza Kick to the back of the head)! Cross dropped onto her with a pinfall and picked up the three.
WINNER AND STILL EW PRIMETIME CHAMPION: Marilyn Lee Cross via pinfall @ 19:51
Scott Parker: Say her name, Gemma! Cross pulls it off once again in what was a hard fought win.
Cross pulled herself up and pulled her hair back as she was handed the championship. She climbed out to the apron and held the title up before making her way to the back.
EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP
Manic Vs. Kasey Kash (c)
The lights went to a dark red and blue as Manic made her way to the stage. She crawled out and pulled herself forward with chains wrapped around her arms and her body. She made it to the ring and crawled under the ropes and looked into the camera with a smile. The Extreme Champion, Kasey Kash, made his way out to the stage with a chair in hand. Trash cans surrounded the ring with various other items inside or nearby. Kash made a beeline for the ring and rolled in as he dropped the title ringside. He swung the chair for Manic as the bell rang and she blocked it with her arms and it made a loud clang off the chains. She dropped Kash with a hard forearm to the head and he bounced right back up. He was dropped again with another blow before popping back up. He screamed at Manic to hit him and pointed at his jaw. She swung and he ducked it before hitting a German suplex. Manic got to her feet and Kash ducked behind her and delivered a blue thunder bomb and Manic kicked out at one after a pin attempt. Kash grabbed a chair and smacked it on the back of Manic as she stood. Manic screamed out and stumbled around the ring before Kash hit her again. He dropped the chair and delivered a fisherman’s suplex onto the chair.
Gemma Foster: Those suplexes and chair shots have to be doing a lot of damage to Manic with those chains wrapped around her body.
Manic fought to her feet and landed a few strikes to the gut of Kash. She pushed him away and took him down with a slingblade. He stood and she delivered a running dropkick that sent him through the ropes and to the floor. Manic paced around the ring and pulled at her hair as Kash started to stand. She charged and hit a tope suicida as the chains smashed into his face. Kash pulled himself up as blood started to trickle down his face. Manic started to strike Kash to bust him open more but Kash pulled her in and hit an overhead belly to belly on the floor.
Scott Parker: Blood coming from Kasey’s head but that’s not going to slow him down.
Kash grabbed a trash can and smashed it over the head of Manic as she stood. He dropped the trash can before folding her over it with a snap suplex. Manic tried to get away and Kash rolled her into the ring and went right after her. She started to stand and Kash delivered a spinning backfist that went right into a ripcord kappo kick! Manic staggered around the ring and Kash hit the ropes and delivered Canberra Collapse (Springboard Cutter)! He covered and Manic kicked out at two.
Gemma Foster: Kash keeping right on the attack!
Kash mounted Manic and started to unload right hands as Manic just started to laugh. Kash hesitated for a moment and went to strike and she covered up as he hit the chains. He got up and shook it off as she quickly got to her feet. Manic grabbed Kash and delivered Insane in the Membrane (Kneecap Brainbuster)! Manic went to the top rope and readied as she looked for Crashing Down (Double Stomp) but Kash got out of the way. Manic rolled forward and was spun around before he hit Fuck You And All Your Friends (Ripcord Bicycle Knee)! Kash pointed at Manic as she started to sit up and he looked for Going The Distance (Last Shot/Shining Wizard) but she swung her arms into the knee of Kash with the chains! He grabbed his knee as Manic stood. He started to get up and Manic hit Splitting Headache (Bicycle Knee Strike)! Manic went for a cover and Kash kicked out at two!
Scott Parker: I don’t know how Kasey kicked out of that one.
Blood continued to come out of the head of Kash as he tried to pull himself up. Manic wrapped the chain around the knee of Kash and slammed it into the mat as he grabbed at it in pain. Manic pulled Kash up and delivered the Death Inside (Murphy's Law) onto the chair in the ring! Manic sat on the chest of Kash as she pulled both legs back and got a three count!
WINNER AND NEW EW EXTREME CHAMPION: Manic via pinfall @ 16:11
Manic snatched the title from the referee and wiped blood off the face of Kasey Kash and wiped it off on the title and her chest. She dropped to her knees and crawled to the ropes as the lights went down.
Scott Parker: Manic has toppled Kasey Kash and is the new Extreme Champion.
Gemma Foster: I can’t believe it!
VICTOREM LADDER MATCH
Hanako Vs Daniel Daemon Vs. Jason Evans Vs. Harper Blake Vs. Danny Rose Vs. Outlaw
The surprise entrant in the Victorem Ladder match was BWF Hall of Famer, Outlaw. He received a nice pop from the crowd but that was quickly taken over for a cheer for the returning Danny Rose. Big boos came down for Daemon as he made his way to the ring as it was clear he was a target early on. Hanako looked around the ring and quickly tried to talk to Harper Blake and create an alliance. Ladders were scattered around the outside of the ring and Jason Evans climbed to the top of one as the match started. He jumped off and springboarded into the ring with a crossbody that took everyone out! Evans got to his feet and Daemon was the first to stand before clubbing Evans with a hard chop to the chest. Evans backed into the corner and Hanako hit a corner splash that made Evans hit the mat and allowed Blake to hit the Facial (Running Facewash)! Outlaw and Rose were exchanging blows before both were taken down by Daemon. Daemon hit a big boot to Outlaw and then a clothesline to Rose. Outlaw charged at Daemon and Daemon delivered the Ritual Disembowelment II (Gorilla Press Gutbuster).
Gemma Foster: Daemon is picking the other competitors apart.
Rose hit Daemon with a series of elbows to the jaw and then hit a dropkick that sent Daemon into the corner. Hanako hit a big corner splash, Blake hit a corner spear, Rose hit a corner clothesline. Evans looked to the ladder and started to climb and Hanako chased after him on the other side.
Scott Parker: Dangerous territory here!
Hanako and Evans exchanged blows. Hanako flipped over Evans and hit a sunset flip powerbomb! Evans and Hanako rolled out of the ring and Outlaw started to look around. He started to climb but was grabbed from behind by Daemon who pulled him to the mat. Outlaw looked for a springboard turnaround crossbody but Daemon caught him and delivered a powerslam! Blake came flying off the top rope but Daemon caught her and delivered a chokeslam! Daemon tried to climb the ladder but Hanako came off the top with a dropkick to his back and he slipped off the ladder. Rose climbed halfway up the ladder and turned, taking Daemon out with My Ultimate Weapon Has 8 Materia Slots And They're All Black (Meteora).
Gemma Foster: It’s carnage all around the ring!
Outlaw was on the outside and set up a table and looked around as the fans cheered. Evans met Outlaw on the apron and the two exchanged blows. Evans tried to deliver a Russian leg sweep off the apron through the table but Outlaw blocked it with elbows to the face. Gemma Foster: What a scary thought, Scott. What a night for him and Martin West.
EW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
AJ Adams Vs. Casey Grey Vs. Tia Santos (c)
Scott Parker: Here we go, folks! It’s main event time!
Grey was out first to a mixed reaction. Clips of how she got added to this match were shown as moved around the ring. She threw her right hand up as she leaned over the ropes and pointed to the crowd. The crowd popped for AJ Adams as he came out to the stage next. He had a determined look on his face as he was ready to fight. The crowd was mixed in reaction when the World Champion, Tia Santos, made her way out behind a cloud of smoke. The World Title was around her waist as she made her way down and climbed into the ring. The match was announced and tension was high as no one moved as the bell rang. All three competitors played the waiting game to see who would move first until our champion rushed Casey Grey and started to unload kicks. Adams pulled Santos away and delivered an uppercut before turning to Grey with a forearm to the face. Santos flipped Adams over with an arm drag and then a drop toe hold on Grey. Santos hit Adams with a chop to the chest and then ducked a clothesline before hitting a neckbreaker. Santos tried to grab Grey as she stood but took an elbow to the gut. Grey reached up and brought Santos down with a reverse STO and planted her face first into the mat.
Gemma Foster: Still anyone’s game early on, Scott. These competitors have each other scouted really well.
Grey rolled into a cover for just an easy one. They were both up and Santos hit a wild right hand and then jumped up for a dropkick that connected. Adams grabbed Santos from behind as she stood and wanted a German suplex but Santos tried to fight free with elbow strikes. Santos dropped down and slipped between the legs of Adams but he turned around with a big discus elbow to the face. Santos shook it off and took Grey and Adams down with a tornado DDT on Grey and a headscissors takedown on Adams at the same time. Gemma Foster: Adams with that Last Call out of nowhere!
Santos rolled away as Grey and Adams started to brawl. The two shared ugly blows and Adams hit a headbutt. Grey came back with a hard chop to the chest and Adams offered her another shot and then came back with a spinning back elbow. Adams delivered a suplex and swung himself around and was right back up for a second suplex. Adams brought Grey up and started to lift for a third and Santos came off the top and came down on her with a crossbody! Adams and Santos were up and Adams landed a kick to the gut. He looked for Eat It (Fame-Asser) but Santos moved out of the way. She ran at the corner and took Adams with Vela en la Noche ([Candle in the Night] Tia either climbs or runs up the turnbuckle (depending on the pace of the match) and performs a Whisper In The Wind leap off the top. She comes down onto her opponent’s shoulders and nails a hurricanrana)! Santos went into a cover after diving onto Adams and he kicked out at two. Santos took a moment and saw Grey up and Santos pulled her into a headlock. Santos tried to send Grey into the ropes but Casey reversed it and slammed Santos down with a big powerslam. Grey grabbed the arm of Santos and pulled her up before hitting the Copperhead Road (Cobra Clutch/Single Knee Backstabber). Grey hooked a leg for a cover and Adams pulled her off.
Scott Parker: None of these competitors are giving their opponents room to breathe right now.
Adams sent Grey hard into the corner and she flipped over it and went to the apron. Adams knocked Grey off the apron and she went flying into the barricade. Adams turned his attention to Santos and landed a hard kick to the gut and ribs as she was on her hands and knees. She started to stand and he started to lock in Lights Out (Tazzmission)! He dropped to the mat and Santos flipped backwards, pinning his shoulders to the mat, but Adams kicked out at two as he released the hold! Adams and Santos got to their feet as Adams looked for a clothesline. Santos bent backwards to duck and delivered Danze de los Muertos ([Dance of the Dead] She bends back up and goes for a spinning back kick which the opponent usually ducks. As they come up, however, Tia’s kicking leg comes down and she nails them in the face with a Chick Kick, finishing with a dancing spin with her arms out). Santos once again went into a cover and Adams kicked out at two!
Gemma Foster: So close! Adams kicking out there kept this match alive!
Adams got to his feet and leaned on the ropes before being clotheslined over the top. Santos took a moment to regroup, alone in the ring. Adams and Grey got to their feet and Santos looked for the Muerta Caída ([Dead Drop] Torpedo Plancha) off the top rope but the two caught her and slammed her back first into the post on the outside! They then dumped her over the barricade and made their way back inside the ring. Grey and Adams unloaded with left and right hands as the longtime rivals had the fans roaring. Grey tried to pull Adams down into the Bitch Muzzle (Crossface Submission) but he kept his footing. Adams landed a kick to the gut and hit Break Stuff (Stunner)! He looked over his shoulder and turned as Santos came off the barricade with a meteora! Santos went to the top rope and hit a shooting star press on Grey! Santos covered and Adams broke it up just before three!
Scott Parker: I don’t know where AJ just came from but he was barely able to save it there!
Adams pulled Grey up and hit her with a right hand. He started to lift her for the Rough Landing (Kneecap Brainbuster) but she countered into a knee to the face. She lifted Adams and hit the Racklash (Rack Attack)! Santos spun Grey around and hit Beso de Muerte ([Kiss of Death] Dream DDT)! All three competitors were down as the fans cheered on. Santos crawled over to Grey and covered and got two before Grey kicked out. Santos went to Adams and covered and he kicked out at two. Santos sat on her butt and looked at the competitors. She shouted “KNEEL” at the two of them and pulled Adams up to his feet and started to set up for Beso de Muerte but Adams was able to get free. He turned things around and hit the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) on Santos!
Gemma Foster: Legacy Maker! This might be it!
Adams got himself onto Santos for a cover and just kicked out at two! After a few moments, Adams went to Grey and she pulled him down into the Bitch Muzzle! Adams refused to tap out and Grey screamed at him over and over to tap. It looked like he might be starting to lose consciousness but Santos came off the top rope with a coffin drop to break the hold! Santos grabbed Grey and hit Beso de Muerte and covered as she picked up the three count!
WINNER AND STILL EW WORLD CHAMPION: Tia Santos via pinfall @ 28:09
Santos dropped to her knees and was handed the title as she put it on her shoulders as she took a deep breath. Adams had rolled out of the ring and was against the barricade as he couldn’t believe it. Santos celebrated with the title as our show came to a close.

Manic pulled Kash up and delivered the Death Inside (Murphy's Law) onto the chair in the ring! Manic sat on the chest of Kash as she pulled both legs back and got a three count!

Adams turned his attention to Santos and landed a hard kick to the gut and ribs as she was on her hands and knees. She started to stand and he started to lock in Lights Out (Tazzmission)!
