Personal History:
Alison James, the youngest of the three James Sisters, is easily the brainiest of her brood. She graduated from High School in 2011 after just turning 17, and by that point, had already undergone almost two years of ring training from her sisters. Unknown to her sisters, Alison was also 'chosen' by AoWF mainstay Simon Kalis to be given special training to become one of his hand-picked Disciples. Later in 2011, Alison debuted alongside her middle sister, Katie, in True Glory Wrestling, and won the TGW Volitionary Title from Lucious Starr in short order. She would hold the title for a time before losing it back to Starr following a twisted ankle during Lucy's rematch for the belt.
After rehabbing her ankle, Alison returned in 2012 alongside the protégé of Johnny Maverick, Allen Chaney, and the duo formed the team known as A-Squared. After taking the storied Cowgirls From Hell to a draw at the AoWF mega event Fall From Grace, they set their sights on the TGW Tag Team Titles. Before they could win them, TGW became RXW, and in their title match, A-Squared defeated The Marshall Brothers to win the Tag Team Titles. They would remain Champions until RXW was absorbed into PWA, when Allen left Alison to defend the titles by herself against the Stolen Hearts tandem of Matt Stone and Emily Corlen.
A singles victory over fellow hand-picked Simon Kalis protégé Benjamin Dyce a month later would mark Alison's final appearance in the AoWF, and one of her last public appearances before resurfacing in 2013 with the announcement that she would be aiding Emily Corlen in Em's new company, Frontier Grappling Arts. Before Emily could wrestle her first match, however, she had to pull out of the company for personal reasons, leaving Alison to claim her spot on the FGA roster and, hopefully, pick up right where she left off in TGW and RXW - winning matches and living up to her family name. Like Emily, however, Alison's run in FGA was short. She only wrestled three matches for the company, winning one and losing two, before vanishing from the world of pro wrestling.
In 2014, Alison turned up, working in a Connecticut Texas Roadhouse while simultaneously attending Yale University. On the outside, for all intents and purposes, she was happy... but she could feel the pull of the world she left behind nagging at her very core. After all... professional wrestling was the family business. And for Alison, business was once again about to pick up.
She made her way to BWF, where she would remain until the company ceased operations in 2017. During that time period, she formed the Justicars of Illium with Destiny Figgins, and between three reigns as Tag Champs, solidified themselves as arguably the greatest tandem in BWF history. They also teamed up with Jay Blazenwing to win the Trios Championships, and ultimately, Alison would defeat Destiny at the final BWF event in 2017, Re:Genesis, to capture the BWF Sovereign Title in a Falls Count Anywhere Match - her first singles title with the federation.
After BWF closed, Alison quietly retired, turning her attention back to her studies in full and focusing on graduating from Yale. She did so, joined Mensa, and began what she assumed would be a quiet life of solitude and learning... until the BWF re-launched in late 2020 and David Slayton reached out to her with a special request - a position within the company as the fed's new play-by-play commentator.
Alison took the job and, for over a year, quite enjoyed her stay at the announcer's table. But as she watched new champions get crowned, great wrestling matches occur and careers get made, she began to feel the itch once again to get back in the ring. She quietly began training in her private time once more, and prior to the Survival of the Sickest 2022 PPV, officially left the broadcaster's booth to rejoin the BWF as an active competitor.
