Episode #82 - March 19, 2022
The Warehouse was packed as fans were excited to see Empire Wrestling’s return. We were wasting no time getting into the action as the Extreme Champion, Kasey Kash, and his opponent, Jason Evans, were already in the ring ready to go as the show opened.
Kasey Kash Vs. Jason Evans
- The two men locked up and Evans opened up with a chop to the chest. Kash slapped Evans and the two went back and forth with hard blows to kick things off.
- Evans hit a couple snap suplexes to disorient Kash before looking for a backdrop. Kash countered the backdrop into the Death of the Phoenix (Frontflip Backstabber).
- The Extreme Champion had control of the match as he landed hard blows to the head and neck area of Evans. Kash looked for a bridging German suplex into a pin but barely got two. Evans fell into the ropes as he stood and Kash charged. Evans lifted him up and over and Kash fell all the way to the floor.
- Evans took out Kash with a tope con hilo! He quickly rolled him back into the ring and covered for two.
- Evans had Kash up and lifted him before driving him to the mat with the Fate's Dagger (Falcon Arrow). Evans went to the top turnbuckle and looked for the Red Line (450 Splash) but missed as Kash got his knees up.
- Kash used the opening to hit the No Pressure (Running Blockbuster). Kash got to his feet and readied himself. He hit the ropes and looked for Going The Distance (Last Shot/Shining Wizard) but Evans was able to duck down and dodge.
- Kash charged at a standing Evans who caught him with a standing Spanish Fly! Evans went for a cover but Kash kicked out at two.
- Evans had grabbed a chair and got back into the ring and the referee grabbed it from him. He started to hand it off to the timekeeper and Evans rocked Kash with a big right hand after pulling a pair of brass knuckles out of his boot! Evans dumped the evidence and went back to the top turnbuckle. He thought about jumping but just jumped down beside Kash and bent down for a cover and Kash rolled him up in a small package for two!
- Kash unloaded vicious right hands on Evans before Evans caught Kash with a low blow for a disqualification!
WINNER: Kasey Kash via DQ @ 16:42
Evans’ partner, Kaito Hirano, rushed to the ring as the two men of Dishonor attacked Kasey as the bell rang. Hirano’s opponent, FM Young, rushed to the ring and hit a big spear on Hirano! The fans roared for the return of Young as she popped to her feet. Kash got up to his feet and delivered Fuck You and All Your Friends (Ripcord Bicycle Knee) to Evans. He looked over at Young and rolled out of the ring. He lifted Hirano off the mat on the outside and rolled him into the ring for Young and left.
FM Young Vs. Kaito Hirano
- Hirano climbed to his feet and was flipped inside out with the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline)! Young jumped to the second turnbuckle and got the fans fired up before jumping back down. She pulled Hirano up to his feet and sent him into the corner.
- Young went to charge but ran into a boot to the face. Hirano was able to land a dropkick as he came off the ropes and dropped Young. Both competitors got to their feet before Hirano looked for a Blue Thunder Bomb but Young fought free with a hard elbow to the side of the head. Young lifted Hirano up and drove him into the mat with a spinebuster.
- Young landed hard strikes to the fallen Hirano and he had to quickly cover up. She stood and stomped on his elbow before he got to his feet. Hirano stepped up with a pump kick as Young looked for a clothesline. Hirano looked for a DDT but Young pushed him away.
- Hirano looked for a hurricanrana but Young countered into Human Error Processor V. 2 (Pop-up Powerbomb). She went into a cover and had two before Evans pulled her out of the ring as the fans booed!
- Evans tried to whip Young into the steps but she countered and he went hard into them before flipping over them. Hirano charged and took Young out with a baseball slide through the ropes. He collected her and rolled her into the ring.
- Hirano lifted Young up on his shoulders but she struggled free and countered into Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check) and covered for the pinfall.
WINNER: FM Young via pinfall @ 11:03
Evans tried to jump into the ring but Young rolled out and gave Dishonor a smile as they collected themselves.
A Vow
The last time we saw Tia Santos in Empire, she was overseeing the digging of a grave for Casey Grey. World Champion of Empire Wrestling. Months later, we’re back at that same site where Tia Santos rises up from behind it. Slowly, like a specter, she just seems to materialize out of the darkness, coming to stand behind the stone.
Tia Santos: Good evening, Casey Grey.
She speaks in Spanish, subtitles scrolling across the bottom of the screen.
Tia Santos: It has been some time since we last spoke. Yet, I have not forgotten. I have not forgotten my vow…my promise to you.
She steps out from behind the headstone, walking around the perimeter of the hole in the ground. She hovers her hand over it, wiggling her fingers through the air, mysteriously.
Tia Santos: I made a vow to relieve you of the weight of this Empire that you carry on your shoulders. You choose, so blindly…so foolishly…to ignore the threat that approaches you. You have said so yourself. At this return of Empire’s weekly broadcast, I will give you a painful reminder of your mistake. Bring your family. Alicia will not be able to save you when Death calls your name. I will leave Aislin Finn to her own devices. She will be free to wreak her havoc as per her desire. But it is I, Casey Grey, who am coming for you. I come for your blood. I come for your gold. I come…Casey Grey…for your soul….
Tia falls silent as she comes to stand directly in front of the camera. A rising scream begins to fill the night air around her before she suddenly blows air at the camera, not unlike blowing out a candle. On cue, the shot goes pitch black and an actual candle appears in the darkness, illuminating the words: El Santo Ha Regresado.
We cut to the backstage area of the Warehouse where the contract for the World Championship match sits with Tia Santos’ signature already on it. A stagehand picks it up and goes to find our champion.
Harper Blake Vs. Marilyn Lee Cross
- Blake made her way down to the ring first before MLC came out. Cross made sure to let everyone look at the Primetime Championship she held high above her head.
- The two locked up to start things off and tried to push the other into the ropes but couldn’t so they pushed off each other.
- Cross looked for a pump kick that missed and Blake looked for Future Sight (V-Trigger) that Cross was able to get her hands up for to block. Cross looked for Hand Of God (Spinning Backfist) but Blake ducked it and started to lift Cross up for the double chickenwing facebuster but Cross rolled forward and into a pin for just one.
- The fans loved the back and forth action as both competitors slowed and circled each other as they cheered.
- Cross moved for a superkick but Blake got her hands up and Cross faked her out and kicked her in the knee for the Downgrade before moving right into a swinging neckbreaker.
- Cross pointed at Blake before she delivered the Knee Harvey Oswald (Running Knee to the side of an opponent's head)! Cross covered but Blake kicked out at two.
- Cross tried to pull Blake up but Blake pushed away. Blake came back at Cross with a hard forearm to the face and then a hard uppercut. Blake stepped back and hit the Future Sight! Cross fell into the ropes and Blake hit a second Future Sight! She then lifted Cross up and down with a Falcon Arrow and covered. Cross was able to kick out at two!
- Blake looked around and looked up. She climbed to the top rope and readied herself before diving for the DDS (Diving Double Stomp) but Cross rolled out of the way and Blake rolled forward and back to her feet.
- Blake turned and Cross hit the Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot)! Cross pulled Blake up and then to her shoulders for the Do A Barrel Roll (Cartwheel Death Valley Driver) but Blake countered into a small package! Cross was just able to kick out at two to the shock of Blake.
- Blake and Cross were both up and locked up. Cross spun Blake around and locked in the Hungry Jaws (Dragon Sleeper w/ body scissors). Blake started to pass out but was just able to stretch out and reach the ropes for a break. Blake rolled out of the ring and tried to catch her breath.
- Cross went to the apron and dove onto Blake with a meteora. Blake’s head bounced off the floor as the referee ran over to check on her. The trainer at ringside checked in also as Cross climbed back into the ring and they called for the bell as Blake couldn’t continue.
WINNER: Marilyn Lee Cross via TKO @ 18:31
Cross collected the Primetime Championship and left to the back as Blake slowly came to.
Clutch
A knock on a door gave us pause before it swung open to reveal the EW World Champion, Casey Grey. The stagehand had a clipboard in his hands as he pulled down his headset.
Stagehand: Ms. Grey, I have the contract for the World Championship match at Next Level: Revolution.
Casey chuckled as she pulled the clipboard from his hands.
Casey Grey: I hear your promises, Tia, and I’m not impressed. You can come for my blood, you can come for my gold, and even my soul. All of it is just talk though. You want to act tough with your face paint and your eerie graveyard videos but it doesn’t phase me. You want this match? Fine. I’m going to expose you as just another face. I’ll one again come up clutch.
Casey signs the contract and slams the clipboard into the chest of the stagehand before walking away.
No One Left
Miguel Perez and Alejandro Torres, the EW Tag Team Champions stand in the middle of the ring with the titles around their waists. Perez has a microphone in his hand as he cuts a promo.
Miguel Perez: Ring the bell.
The bell sounded as a referee was standing in the ring. Perez shouted at him to count and he eventually got to ten and the bell rang again.
Miguel Perez: And still your Empire Wrestling Tag Team Champs, the 323, ese. We’ve chased off all of the tag teams in EW. Mayhew and Fischer? Silence. Angel and Summer? Tails between their legs to somewhere else even after we called them out. Dishonor doesn’t dare.
Before Perez can continue the lights go out and the Next Level: Revolution logo appears on the jumbotron. It fades away into “heroesxneverxdie” as the fans pop and the lights come back up. Perez and Torres nod and hold up the titles as we fade away.
Daniel Daemon Vs. Austin Scott
- Scott paced around the ring as he awaited. The lights went out and a lone spotlight showed Daniel Daemon making his return to wrestling. He slowly moved to the ring and climbed inside, very much all business.
- The two locked up and Scott tried to overpower Daemon by sending him into the ropes but Daemon stood his ground. Daemon pulled Scott with a short arm lariat.
- Scott tried to chop Daemon and then hit the ropes but ran into a boot to the face that caused him to fall backwards and through the ropes.
- Scott hung Daemon up on the top rope and then went to the top turnbuckle before jumping off with an ax handle smash.
- Scott looked for a German suplex but Daemon blocked and countered with an elbow to the side of the head. Daemon grabbed Scott and looked for a chokeslam but Scott slipped away as he twisted in the air.
- Scott hammered Daemon with a lariat. Then a second. Daemon stood his ground and Scott hit the ropes and was chopped down with a throat strike.
- Daemon went to pull Scott up but Scott tripped him up with a drop toe hold and Daemon went face first into the middle turnbuckle.
- Scott quickly ran the ropes and came back with Goin' Muddin' (Opponent is seated in the corner, charges and connects with a running knee to the skull). Scott pulled Daemon out of the corner and went for a cover and barely got two before Daemon kicked out with force.
- Daemon powered to his feet and hit Scott with a boot to the gut and then a hard European uppercut. Scott fell into the ropes and walked right into a chokeslam!
- Daemon lifted Scott up and powered him up into the air and drove him into the mat with Twist of Cain II- (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) and covered for three.
WINNER: Daniel Daemon via pinfall @ 12:41

Melody Slayton Vs. Lacy Nelson
- The fans were treated to second generation wrestler Melody Slayton for the first time as she made her Empire Wrestling debut. Lacy Nelson was out next and was fired up, wearing a UCLA basketball shirt. She removed it and tossed it to the side as she revealed the CaliPRO Championship. She removed it and left it at the top of the ramp before the match started.
- Nelson and Slayton shook hands in the center of the ring before things got underway. Nelson gave Slayton a slap on the shoulder and the two locked up. Nelson pulled Slayton into a side headlock and twisted her neck.
- Nelson was in control and moved Slayton around the ring but Slayton was able to slip free and twisted Nelson around into a hammerlock. Nelson quickly flipped Slayton over with a snapmare and a hard kick to the back.
- Nelson landed a few kicks before Slayton got to her feet and caught Nelson with a punch to the jaw and a kick to the gut before delivering a scoop slam. Slayton and Nelson exchanged holds and kept things slow.
- Slayton had Nelson aggravated as she kept reversing holds and Lacy looked to send the rookie over the top rope and she landed on the apron. Nelson walked away and turned back right into the Flight Risk (Slingshot DDT)! Slayton quickly went into a cover but just got two.
- Slayton was fired up and readied herself as Nelson got up. Slayton looked for This Magic Moment (V Trigger) but Nelson dodged it. Slayton turned into a kick to the gut and a double underhook powerbomb.
- Nelson’s mean streak started to come out as she stomped on the knee of Slayton and then applied a knee bar. Slayton powered herself to the ropes to force a break.
- Nelson pulled Slayton up to her feet and readied for the Deadline (Tiger Driver '98) but Slayton countered into a hurricanrana pin for two.
- Both competitors were up and Nelson hit a big German suplex.
- As they both got to their feet, Slayton caught Nelson with This Magic Moment. Nelson fell into the ropes and came back with a superkick! Both competitors fell to the mat as the fans cheered.
- Nelson was up first and clearly wanted to hit another superkick as she waited for Slayton to get up. Slayton ducked under the superkick and hit a belly to back suplex. Slayton quickly went to the second turnbuckle and put her hands out. Nelson turned and Slayton looked for the Glitter Bomb (Panama Sunrise) but Nelson caught her with a superkick!
- Before Nelson could go for a cover, Slayton rolled out of the ring and fell to the floor. Nelson took a few moments to regroup and then went after her opponent. Nelson pulled Slayton up and rolled her into the ring. Nelson crawled under the ropes and Slayton surprised her with the Full Effect 2.0 (Superkick*, followed by a Shining Wizard)! Slayton went for a cover and Nelson just kicked out before three.
- Slayton sat in the corner and Nelson pulled her hair back in disbelief that she couldn’t put away Slayton. Both women got up and Nelson exploded with vicious right hands and backed the rookie into the corner and down to a seat. The referee called for a break and Nelson walked away only to come back with THUNDERSTRUCK (Running Hip Check).
- Nelson pulled Slayton up and delivered the Headline (Eat Defeat) and sat on the chest of Slayton as she pulled a leg back and picked up the pinfall.
WINNER: Lacy Nelson via pinfall @ 17:19
Lacy took a deep breath and after a few moments helped Melody up to her feet and gave her a pat on the back before raising her arm.
A Look Ahead
Scott Parker: It’s been a great show tonight, Gemma. We still have our main event to come but we want to take a few moments to look ahead to Next Level: Revolution in two weeks.
Gemma Foster: For the first time ever we’ll see a “Spartan Battle Royal” where we’ll determine who will win the vacant Spartan Championship. That over the top rope battle royal will go until we get two competitors and we’ll transition to a traditional Spartan Rules match!
Scott Parker: Kasey Kash will defend his Extreme Championship in a six pack challenge, Gemma! He’ll have to get through both Jason Evans and Kaito Hirano of Dishonor, FM Young, and two competitors still to be named. It may be the toughest challenge Kasey has faced here in EW.
Gemma Foster: Speaking of challenges. Do you think that 323’s challenge is really going to be answered or was it all just a tease? Someone playing a joke on all of us? Or are we really going to see Heroes Never Die?
Scott Parker: I sure hope so! And of course the EW World Championship will be on the line in what should be a great main event. Casey Grey has one of her toughest title defenses as she takes on Tia Santos. Will Casey be able to defend the biggest prize here in Empire Wrestling or is it finally Tia’s time?
Hell’s Belles (Casey Grey & Alicia Monroe) Vs. Tia Santos & Aislin Finn
- It was time for the main event and Santos wanted to start things off with Grey but Grey climbed out to the apron and let Monroe start. The two locked up and Monroe hit a quick arm drag and Santos rolled right to her feet and took down Monroe with a sling blade!
- Santos ran and knocked Grey off the apron and went back on the assault on Monroe.
- Monroe eventually pulled Santos down by the hair and this allowed Hell’s Belles to work over Santos with quick blows as they tagged in and out. Santos started to fight back and grabbed Grey by the hair and was about to hit a neck breaker but Monroe came in and attacked her. Monroe delivered a fisherman’s suplex to Santos before jumping back to the apron.
- Monroe got a tag in and looked for Freebird (Running Bulldog) but Santos pushed her away and made a tag to Finn.
- Finn hit a spinning back kick to the gut of Monroe and Grey jumped into the ring. Grey charged and ran right into the Warp Spasm (Over Shoulder Back Kick)!
- Both Monroe and Grey were on the outside. Finn took Monroe out with a tope suicida and Santos took out Grey with Muerta Caída ([Dead Drop] Basically just a Torpedo Plancha).
- Finn got Monroe back into the ring and covered for two before Monroe kicked out.
- Finn made a tag to Santos and Monroe was up. She looked for a clothesline but Santos was able to bend backwards to avoid it and delivered Danze de los Muertos ([Dance of the Dead] She bends back up and goes for a spinning back kick which the opponent usually ducks. As they come up, however, Tia’s kicking leg comes down and she nails them in the face with a Chick Kick, finishing with a dancing spin with her arms out). Santos covered but Grey broke it up with a hard stomp.
- Santos had Monroe from behind and Monroe ran for the ropes. Monroe ducked and Santos ran right into Grey’s Breath Mint (Forearm Smash)! Monroe rolled Santos up for two before she kicked out.
- Monroe tagged out to Grey who climbed into the ring and kept pushing Santos down with a boot to the back of the head as she tried to stand. Grey looked for a curbstomp but Santos was able to avoid it. Santos looked for Beso de Muerte ([Kiss of Death] Dream DDT) but Grey slipped away. Santos tagged out to Finn and she jumped into the ring.
- Finn looked for a suplex on Grey but Grey was able to block and get behind Finn. She ran Finn into the corner where Monroe had her boot on the top turnbuckle. This let Grey slam her face first into Monroe’s boot!
- Grey lifted Finn up and hit the GTO (Fisherman Driver)! Grey covered but was only able to get two before Santos pulled her off.
- Grey and Monroe started to work over Finn but she started to battle back and hit a big crossbody on both. Santos was fired up on the outside and wanted the tag. Grey tried to pull Finn back to the center of the ring as she went for a tag but Finn dove and made the hot tag.
- Grey tagged out to Monroe and rolled out of the ring as Monroe wasn’t ready for the tag. Santos brought Monroe in the hard way as she flipped her over the ropes. Santos hit the Vela en la Noche ([Candle in the Night] Tia either climbs or runs up the turnbuckle (depending on the pace of the match) and performs a Whisper In The Wind leap off the top. She comes down onto her opponent’s shoulders and nails a hurricanrana.
- Monroe was left in position and Santos tagged to Finn. Grey was now at the top of the ramp watching on as Santos sat on the middle rope and invited Grey back in. Finn delivered the Bogha (Rope Assisted Killswitch) and covered Monroe for the victory.
WINNERS: Aislin Finn & Tia Santos
Santos and Finn had their hand raised in victory before Santos turned her attention back to the top of the ramp. Grey held up the EW World Championship as the two shouted at each other before we went off air.
