Personal History:
Born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1979, Yoshihiro Sakai knew from a young age that he wanted to be a professional wrestler. He trained from a young age, but when the time came to take his spot on the grand wrestling stages of his home country, Sakai decided that he would rather make a name for himself overseas and decided to move to America in his early 20s. In late 2003, Sakai, now going by the masked alias Stryker Cloud, made his American debut in the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation and, soon after, the Juggalo Wrestling Federation. (To this day, he still isn't quite sure what a juggalo is, but hey, the pay was good.) Cloud would rack up some impressive wins early in his career, even becoming a two-time World Champion - once in JWF and once in BWF.
Before too long, he met a lovely woman and settled down, starting a family. He still competed off and on, but suddenly, wrestling was no longer his priority, and without that burning fire, he quietly invested the money he had saved from his hottest run in 03-04 and quietly 'retired', though he would continue to make the occasional appearance in BWF throughout the years.
In 2022, with his daughters fully grown and about to start college, Sakai decided that if he was going to make one more run at the business he fell in love with as a kid, it was now or never and, at 43 years of age, officially signed his first full-time BWF contract in nearly 15 years. It seems that the passion is back, but only time will tell if that is enough for this old dragon to make one more indelible mark inside the squared circle.
