Entrance Music: Green Day – “Jesus of Suburbia”
Entrance Description: "Jesus of Suburbia" hits, and as Billie Joe sings the line “The Jesus of Suburbia,” is when Trent Mathews makes his way through the curtain. Trent takes a brief scan of the arena before dropping to his knees and extending his arms out to his sides. He holds this for a moment before rising to his feet, arms still extended, and starts making his way down the aisle.
Introduction
Trent walks at a leisurely pace, putting his arms down roughly halfway down the aisle. He makes his way to the ring steps, steps up them and into the ring. As soon as he enters the ring, he extends his arms back out to his sides, steps to the middle of the ring and drops to his knees again. He holds this pose until his music fades out, at which point he stands up and removes his jacket, tossing it to the floor outside.
Biography: Born Trenton Peters in Owasco, NY, he had a rough life from the start. An unexpected child born to drug addicts, he lived on the street most of his life. At the age of ten, social services caught up to the Peters' and Trent was adopted by Luke Mathews.
He made his pro wrestling debut in Eternity Wrestling. When that closed, he stayed under the radar, before joining Turbo Charged Wrestling, which closed not long after he was signed.
He later went onto his father's promotion, AXW, where he was a member of Chicks & America, a trio that brought smiles to faces and put butts in seats. Or at least, they like to think so.
Trent made his debut in Excelsior Wrestling Society in January 2014 as a member of the Mathews Family, where he helped Luke Mathews defeat Duncan Aries to regain the AXW Championship. Not long after, the Family went their own ways, which led to Trent winning the Las Vegas Fury Legacy Championship. During a championship defense against JC Borg, Luke Mathews unintentionally cost Trent the title. This would lead to a change in attitude from Trent, turning his back on the rest of the family. Trent dropped the Mathews name and briefly went by his birth name of Trent Peters, before dropping Peters and going as TRENT. He defeated Luke Mathews in a match where Luke put his company, AXW, on the line. As the new owner of AXW, TRENT tried his best to make Luke's, and anyone associated with him, life a living hell. TRENT lost the ownership of AXW back to Luke Mathews at RISE 2015. TRENT would remain a competitor in AXW, aligning with Cletus Mathews and Danny Hall to form The Misfits. He would spend a few months away due to injury, before returning as Trent Mathews again and winning the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship with his new business partner, Sam De Santa.
