Next Level: Victorem July 3, 2021
Scott Parker: Hello everyone and welcome to Next Level: Victorem! For the first time in 15 months we’re here inside a SOLD OUT Empire Wrestling Warehouse. It’s loud here in Long Island City and tonight it’s the biggest show of the summer as every title is on the line and it’s the return of the Victorem Ladder match!
Gemma Foster: We’ve seen in years past that anything can happen at Next Level: Victorem and tonight should be no different.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
David Slayton (c) Vs. Danny Rose
- The crowd roared to life when the first match of the night was announced and we got Rose and Slayton standing across from each other after big entrances. Slayton held the National Title up above his head with both hands. He handed it off and we were set to start!
- The two men locked up and Rose tried to pull Slayton into a side headlock but Slayton was able to slip free and looked for a crossface chickenwing but Rose broke free. Rose sent Slayton into the corner and charged right into a boot to the face. Slayton hit Rose with a German suplex right into the turnbuckles that clearly had him shaken up.
- Slayton took control of the match and landed blows to the back of Rose and a few backbreakers.
- Slayton delivered a double underhook backbreaker and then rolled Rose into a Boston Crab. Rose refused to tap and was able to get to the ropes and used his first rope break. Slayton broke the hold but quickly reapplied the hold and Rose quickly grabbed the ropes for a second break. Slayton smirked as the referee forced the break and looked for another Boston Crab, close to the ropes, and tried to get Rose to use the final rope break. Rose, instead, pushed up on his hands and was able to twist Slayton, flipping him over.
- Rose started to build a comeback with strikes and a big Yakuza kick. The fans popped when Rose delivered I Like My Wrestling Moves Like I Like My Coffee, Dark And Nutty (spin kick to the stomach, Code Red sunset flip bomb, roll opponent out to kneeling and roll back, running knee strike, bridging northern lights suplex combo). They counted along to a long two count before Slayton kicked out.
- Rose started to go to the top rope but Slayton pushed his foot off the ropes and Rose hung himself up on the top rope. Slayton climbed up to the second turnbuckle and pulled Rose down to the mat with a Samoan Drop!
- Rose staggered to his feet but was quickly taken down with a hard clothesline. Slayton shook the top rope and stomped his foot. Rose stood and Slayton connected with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music). Slayton fell onto Rose for a cover and was shocked when Rose kicked out.
- Slayton looked around and shot a look at the referee. He pulled Rose up to his feet and then into the air for the End of Everything (One Winged Angel) but Rose rolled forward with a victory roll! The fans popped at the two count and Slayton kicked out.
- Slayton got to his feet and Rose hit A Good Blaster By Your Side Is No Match For A Hokey Religion (Spinning Back Head Kick)! Rose covered and the fans counted along for what was a two count as Slayton got his foot on the ropes!
- Rose started to climb to the top rope but Slayton once again tried to push him off and Rose jumped to the apron. Slayton charged but ran into a step up kick to the face. Rose looked to springboard off the top rope and into the ring and Slayton caught him with the Full Effect! Slayton fell backwards and had to crawl over for a cover but Rose rolled out of the ring.
- The referee started his twenty count and got to nine before Rose was pulling himself up. Rose was back on the apron and hit a back elbow to the head of Slayton as he tried to pull him into the ring. Rose went to the top and hit My Ultimate Weapon Has 8 Materia Slots And They're All Black (Meteora)! Rose covered and shocked the world with a three count!
After the match the fans cheered Rose on as he celebrated by holding the title up high before heading to the back.
Now You’re In New York
Casey Grey steps out of the back and onto the stage. There is no music as she makes her way to the ring. She is about halfway there before "Hell Yeah" by Rev Theory begins to play. She shakes her head, her annoyed expression plain on her face. She climbs the steps, and is handed a microphone from the announcers.
Casey Grey: Hey, you in the back in the sound booth. Shut up.
The music stops.
Casey Grey: Thank you. If I wanted you to play my song, I would have asked you to. Now, moving on. I don't know what's going on in the back office, but I can tell you that it isn't making much sense to me. I'm pretty sure that I speak for everyone when I say "What the hell are you people doing back there?" And don't take this the wrong way, but who exactly decided that AJ Adams just deserves a shot at this title? I mean, he comes over here after BWF's closure and just tells you guys that he's getting a title shot at me? And you give it to him?
Casey shakes her head as she shifts the title from one shoulder to the next, then musses her hair.
Casey Grey: This isn't to say anything bad about Adams. He's a great competitor that many would say does deserve a title shot. But to just show his face and make demands, and have those demands met? And it's the same thing with Nessa Wall with her not so subtle message weeks before. Who do you guys think you are, really? You can't just leave, come back, and pick up where you left off. There is so much talent back there that deserves their shot.
There is a pause for a moment. Casey looks at the mat, then back up before speaking again.
Casey Grey: You don't deserve it. Not tonight. What I've gone through to win this belt, what Lacey Nelson went through to lose it, what Manic put us both through...this is an Empire championship and Empire wrestlers deserve first shot at it. But that's just my opinion, and it's obvious nobody cares about it. The bosses in the back want you to have this shot, fine. You got it. But you better bring everything you got because this--
Casey holds up her belt, shaking it.
Casey Grey: --isn't just about me. It's about an Empire State of Mind.
"Hell Yeah" begins to play again as Casey climbs through the ropes and heads to the back. She stops a few times on the way back, allowing groups of fans to slap the faceplate of the World Title.
Jason Evans Vs. AJ Jenkynx
- Jenkynx came to the ring first but on the way he was attacked from behind by Evans. Evans landed hard blows and pushed him into the steel post on the outside.
- Jenkynx was busted open as Evans rolled him into the ring.
- Jenkynx wiped the blood away from his eyes as he started to stand and Evans came into the ring with Seeing Stars (Slingshot DDT).
- Evans moved around the ring as the referee checked on the cut on Jenkynx’s head. Evans stomped on Jenkynx as the referee pulled him away.
- Jenkynx pulled himself up and fell into the corner. Evans ran and looked for a big corner splash and missed as Jenkynx moved out of the way. Jenkynx followed it up with a big German suplex.
- Jenkynx was fired up as Evans stood and hit a big spinning heel kick. Evans dropped and Jenkynx covered for barely two.
- Evans got to his feet and caught Jenkynx with a forearm to the cut on his head and started to unload with hard right hands on the cut.
- Jenkynx kicked Evans in the gut and wanted to hit Broken Dreams (Tiger Driver) but Evans got free. Jenkynx looked for a kick to the head and Evans ducked it and spun Jenkynx around and hit the Flatliner (Cutter)! Evans hooked a leg and picked up the pinfall.
Kaito Hirano rushed to the ring and joined in on the attack of Jenkynx after the match. Hirano and Evans stomped on Jenkynx as the bell rang. Hirano lifted Jenkynx up and delivered the Oyasumi [Goodnight] (Fireman's Carry Overhead Kick). Hirano and Evans stood tall over Jenkynx.
Not Just Another Face
The Angle: Earlier in the day, James Edwards watched the comings and goings of the EW support staff from some of the warehouse's cheap seats. The reigning UWL World Championship said he had no reason to complain about his Empire tenure so far. The level of competition has been everything he was promised. He's been able to earn two title shots. The only complaint he has is that so far he has just been a face in the crowd. He said he knows he is better than this. He is good enough to not only be a champion but one of the best the company has to offer. Four people stand between him and his chance to prove that. He said he will go through each and every one of them, and in the end he will be the one standing out.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Social Elite (Summer Page/Angel Kash) (c) Vs. The 323 (Alejandro Torres/Miguel Perez)
- Perez and Torres were the first to the ring and the Social Elite were next. They took their time walking down and argued with Foster and Parker at the announce table about how they shouldn’t be in the match.
- It didn’t take long before Perez and Torres jumped out of the ring and attacked as this was falls count anywhere!
- The two teams brawled around the ring and Kash raked the eyes of Perez. Torres tossed Page across the announce table and then turned to Kash. Kash jumped on him and looked for a DDT but was pushed away. Torres hit a big boot on Kash and covered for one.
- The brawl around the ring style really benefited the 323 in this match as they used the barricade and apron as weapons.
- Page finally got into the ring as Perez followed suit. She delivered the Total Knockout (Springboard Bulldog)! She quickly tried to cover but was pulled out of the ring by Torres.
- Torres grabbed Page and delivered the Gravedigger (Uranage [Bray Wyatt]) on the outside.
- Kash was in the ring and looked for the Buyout (Implant DDT brainbuster) on Perez but he countered into a small package for two.
- The match continued with the Social Elite starting to gain footing in the match as Kash rocked Torres with a chair shot to the head that seemed to take him out.
- Page had Perez locked in the In Your Dreams (Sleeper) and he started to slip before he went to the ropes and flipped over the top, causing both he and Page to bounce off the mat and to the floor.
- Kash jumped off the apron and took Perez out with a crossbody. Social Elite started to fight with Perez up the ramp and Torres came to at ringside. Kash locked Perez in the Liquidation (Triangle choke armbar) and Page tried to stand guard so Torres couldn’t break it up. He speared her right into the pile of Perez and Kash.
- Torres was up and looked to hit Page with CHIMUELO (Superman Punch [Translation: Toothless]) but she moved and he knocked out the referee!
- Page got Perez down and in the Spoiled Rotten (Banks Statement). Torres was up and hit Kash with the T.O.S. (Sit-out Powerbomb Pin [Terminate on Sight])! Perez seemed to be slipping as Torres tried to cover. Sara Logan rushed out as a new referee went to check on Perez but she instructed him to go count the pinfall and he did, resulting in a pinfall!
Page started to realize what happened and let go of the hold and looked around confused as Perez crawled away, Torres pulling him up and to his feet as they were handed the titles. Kash got in the face of Logan as Logan just smirked. Page went at Logan and started to pull her hair as the referees came out and pulled them apart.
Victorious
The backstage area showed us Lacy Nelson pacing around in her locking room about to finish getting ready. She kept looking over to her bag and then her boots. FM Young was in the room with her and took her by the hand.
FM Young: Babe, you got this. You know what to expect out of this match and have shown you can do it. You have to be the favorite to win this thing and then you can go and beat Casey for the title.
Lacy Nelson: That’s the thing though. I’ve always been the underdog in my life and this is one of the first times anyone has ever believed in me and it’s messing with my mojo.
FM Young: Think of it this way; there’s still plenty to prove. Show any of the doubters that you’re the real deal here in Empire Wrestling. Show any haters that you’re a bad ass bitch. Go be victorious!
Lacy smiled and gave FM a kiss and a nod.
Lacy Nelson: I’m going to make that headline say I’m a two time Victorem Ladder Match winner. Let’s do this.

Cross celebrated on her way up the ramp as everyone else watched on.
Danza De Los Muertos
The shot opens on the interior of a mausoleum. The light from the moon barely illuminates things enough to see in the darkness, after hours. There’s just enough, however, to see the names on the plaques as the camera slowly pans across. Familiar names of the Empire Wrestling roster.
ZOEY MATHEWS -- AUSTIN SCOTT -- RILEY ROUSE -- MOLLY O’HATHERINE -- AJ ADAMS -- JASON EVANS -- KAITO HIRANO -- ALICIA MONROE -- KAYLA TAYLOR -- KASEY KASH
It’s worth noting that the plaque door for Kasey Kash is ajar and that one right beside it is wide open. As a familiar voice breaks the uncomfortable silence, a woman’s hand comes into frame, brushing over the names on the mausoleum wall.
Tia Santos: The challengers keep coming. The bodies keep stacking. The reaper keeps reaping. The Saint of Killers keeps on killing.
Finally, the camera pans out as the hand falls from the wall and Extreme Champion, Tia Santos, comes into full view, barely visible in the darkness. In true Next Level fashion, while she’s in her wrestling gear, title around her waist, her face is completely painted up like a skull. Her expression holds little, actually no emotion at all. She almost seems like a moving corpse with how she just stares into the camera.
Tia Santos: I have spent all the words I will spend on Kasey Kash. He has proven that he may be able to cheat the Saint out of her claim on his soul. Fair play to him. However, you and I, Manic...we are a different story. After tonight is over, I am almost certain that our tale is not over. It is only just beginning. The prologue has been written. You have played your games. You have had your fun. You have enjoyed your laughs. Now, it is time to face the Saint of Killers and have your soul torn from the fleshy husk in which it resides. But not tonight. Tonight, the three of us...you...Kasey Kash...and I...we dance the Dance of the Dead. Only one of us walks out with the prize that I have denied so many in nearly a year’s time.
She slowly looks down and brushes her fingers over the Extreme Title, before lifting her cold, empty gaze back to the camera.
Tia Santos: Though, make no mistake, Manic. Everyone returns home, eventually. There will be a day when the Saint of Killers hangs up her guns. When she returns to Hell. But on that day...hear me, Manic...I’m going to drag you with me...screaming….
Tia raises her hand, snaps her fingers and the plaque door with Kasey Kash’s name, along with the wide open one slam shut and lock. It’s then, as Santos steps out of frame, we see the name on the final plaque--
MANIC
--and the shot fades out….
Meg Coleman Vs. Kamila Rose
- It was clear that Coleman and Rose didn’t like each other as the match started and they came to blows and locked up.
- Rose grabbed the arm of Coleman and flipped over and pulled her down with an arm drag as Coleman got right up. Coleman charged and speared Rose into a corner.
- Coleman unloaded hard body shots as she tried to wear down Rose.
- Rose was down and in a sleeper hold and had to try and get to her feet. Rose got to one foot and pushed up and drove Coleman back first into the corner.
- Rose hit a big overhead belly to belly out of the corner.
- Rose pulled Coleman up and delivered a turnbuckle powerbomb and screamed as she pounded her chest. She turned and Coleman exploded with a Superwoman Punch!
- Coleman looked for a cover but could only get two before Rose kicked out. Coleman went right into the ankle lock.
- Rose was able to fight forward and sent Coleman face first into the top turnbuckle. Rose stood and delivered a German suplex and pulled Coleman back up. She delivered a backstabber and rolled into the Black Rose (Banks Statement).
- Coleman was able to turn herself just enough and rolled Rose onto her shoulders. Coleman pulled Rose’s legs back as she tried to bridge and snuck away with a shocking pinfall!
Coleman rolled out of the ring as Rose was stunned and asked the referee what just happened as she didn’t think her shoulders were down.
7/11
The scene opens with a shot of several empty 7-Eleven cups on the floor of an apartment. To the left of them are the bottom of someone’s shoes. We see someone else walk into the shot, kicking the cups out of the way and kicking at the leg of the downed person.
“Get up!”
The person slowly, groggily, sits up, and we can see that it is none other than Bailey Mayhew. The second person extends their hand down to help Bailey stand up. The camera raises with Bailey as she stands, and we now see the second person is Brighton Fischer.
Brighton Fischer: The hell are you doing?
Bailey Mayhew: Not so loud! I’ve got major brain freeze…
Bailey rubs at her temples.
Brighton Fischer: You need to take thith theriouthly. I’m buthting my ath for our EW return and you’re jutht thitting on the floor thucking down Thlurpeeth!
Bailey starts cackling.
Brighton Fischer: What’th tho funny?
Bailey Mayhew: You know I can’t take you seriously when you talk with your mouthguard in.
Brighton removes her mouthguard.
Brighton Fischer: Look, it’s been a year since we last competed. You’re not going to get back into ring shape by sitting on the floor and drinking Slurpees.
Bailey Mayhew: But it’s the most magical day of the year! 7/11! Free Slurpee Day! The only day that’s going to top this is the day they release Part 2 of the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Update.
Brighton Fischer: You know what day is going to top both of those? The day we win the EW Tag Team Championships. I mean, come on Bailey, you’ve been in EW for how long, and what do you have to show for it other than talking about Minecraft and Slurpees?
Bailey Mayhew: Uh, my greatest invention!
A timer dings. Bailey goes to the oven and pulls something out. It’s a pizza with dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets on it.
Bailey Mayhew: Dinosaur-shaped chicken nugget pizza!
Brighton grabs the pizza from Bailey and sets it on the counter. She grabs Bailey’s wrist and starts to drag her out of the apartment.
Brighton Fischer: We’re going to the Warehouse. You need to train.
Bailey Mayhew: Bu—but the pizza--
Brighton Fischer: Warehouse!
Bailey Mayhew: Can we at least stop at 7-Eleven?
Brighton Fischer: No!
Bailey Mayhew: But the free Slurpees!
That’s the last thing that’s heard before the door is slammed shut.

Hanako ran at Monroe and ran up her chest and backflipped off her! Hanako then hit a big shotgun dropkick that sent Monroe back first into the ladder!

The crowd was stunned as Wall clutched the briefcase in hand and climbed down the ladder. She looked around and posed against the ladder as her hand was raised in victory. She smiled at the carnage in the ring as everyone was checked on by a trainer.
EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP
Tia Santos (c) Vs. Manic Vs. Kasey Kash
- The crowd cheered for the champion, Tia Santos, as she came out from a cloud of smoke on the stage. She threw the title in the air as her competitors stood in the ring. The trash cans full of items that we’ve grown accustomed to were placed around the ring, along with a ladder from the last match still sitting out.
- This was another match where there wasn’t a lot of love in the ring and Manic smiled and tilted her head. Kash charged her and she ducked a clothesline as she then charged Santos. - Manic lifted him up and delivered the Insane in the Membrane (Kneecap Brainbuster) before locking him into the PTO. Kash refused to submit as Manic shrieked at him. Santos came over and kicked Manic in the head.

Manic tried to push Santos off but Santos held on and shook her head. She started to fight back and said, in Spanish, she’d take Manic to Hell. Santos headbutt Manic and then readied herself before hitting a Spanish Fly off the top rope, to the outside, through the burning table!
- Trainers rushed over to put out the fire and both competitors were down. Kash rolled out of the ring, grabbing his shoulder. He pulled Manic out of the pile and rolled her into the ring and climbed inside. He laid across her and shocked everyone with a pinfall!
Kasey Kash pulled himself up slowly and was handed the Extreme Championship as he pulled it onto his shoulder. He fell into the corner and held himself up as he looked down at it. The crowd was stunned as Santos was checked on and Manic laid there motionless.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

- Adams came to the ring with the BWF International Championship and Grey showed off the World Title on the ramp before coming to the ring.
